In 2013 I created the art work “me.” and shortly after I was invited to exhibit it at a group exhibit called “Asshole in the Gallery,” at Loft 594, Brooklyn, NY. For the opening reception I created this semi-companion piece called “Blow Me.” It’s black balloon with the word “me” printed on it in white. I would often keep a stash of these balloons in my pocket. During the opening reception I would randomly ask people “Do you want to blow me?” Some people were shocked, some people laughed, most people were confused. Shortly after their response or non-response, I pulled out the balloon and gave it to them. Everyone always laughed. I still ask people to blow me. Perhaps one day I’ll ask you to blow me. If you’d like to me to ask you if you’d like to blow me, shoot me a message.
