“Middle Struggle” was a performance art work by artist David Greg Harth. It occurred during the final exhibition of his art residency in Aley, Lebanon, a small city outside Beirut. During the performance Harth was in a perpetual activity of swapping contents of one container with the other container. While doing so, Harth also struggled to physically support one of the containers with his own strength by raising and lowering the metal container with a rope-and-pulley system. Harth repeated the struggle several times during the afternoon of August 31, 2008. This is what happened.
